Visit to AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow

CI Precision’s department of Recording Microbalances recently visited AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland. Prof. dr. Eng. Zbigniew Grzesik and his research team, Dr Grzegorz Smola, Dr Monika Migdalska and Ms Monika Drozdz welcomed Andrew Spence and Elaine Roberts of CI Precision in their laboratory in the Faculty of Material Science and Ceramics. Prof. Grzesik has specialised for over 25 years in the study of high temperature corrosion of metals and alloys as well as in the design of new heat-resistant materials. He is the author of the top 100 publications mainly published in highly regarded journals with international circulation. A number of his papers are related to the research of materials and corrosion in the automotive industry. The second area of research for Professor Grzesik includes studies of the kinetics and thermodynamics of defects in oxides and sulphides of metals – in this field he is a recognized authority on an international level.
